I recently purchased a new mouse.

I was formerly using a Logitech MX 518, seen below.

As you can seen, it looks pretty gross as the grip on the sides started peeling.  It was over 4 years old and died recently when I frequently started moving my mouse back and forth from my desk to my tray table in order to use it while watching the PC from my couch.

I decided to invest in my first wireless mouse and narrowed down my research to the Razer Mamba, Microsoft Sidewinder X8 and the Logitech MX Revolution, MX 1100 and Performance MX.

I’ll spare the details and just conclude that my deciding factor was mainly a replaceable rechargeable battery.  This took the MX Revolution out of the competition.  I was also interested in the ability to use the mouse wired while charging, as it would be used mainly wired anyway.  After weighting through the pros and cons of many reviews on several websites, I decided on the Logitech Performance Mouse MX.  So far I’m pretty satisfied with it, though it did cost quite a bit especially since I bought it retail from the CompUSA/TigerDirect at the mall.

I also think it looks really nice unlike my original MX-518.
