Strong succinct sequel
Built from the ground up, all fresh
Ace? You be the judge.
Though I beat this game a couple of days ago, it was hard writing a haiku when it’s already been done in such detail. If you don’t mind spoilers, check out the entire post on Wonkyman’s Blog. Because there’s no way I can match Wonkyman’s haiku review, I also wrote a limerick.
It’s a shame critics complain that it’s mostly the same,
How much more can you deviate without changing the game?
Though all points legit,
I don’t give a shit,
The final case turnabout makes it worth critical acclaim.
I’m just glad I’m up to the most recent title finally, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. I was initially too overwhelmed by the sheer amount of sequels to ever play this series. I played the original a long time ago and just recently while watching a murder mystery on television did I get the urge to play the rest of the entries in the franchise. I’m usually not so interested in text heavy adventures but the stories and characters are some of the most engaging I’ve encountered in a game, plus the series has a fantastic sense of humor with a dash of pop culture thrown in for good measure.
