This week I’m promoting Lotus, my new favorite group that I’ve only recently discovered. I learned of this band from the JamBase Message Board, where members were debating over Sound Tribe Sector 9 and The Disco Biscuits. One group people could agree on was the much less exposed Lotus.
My personal favorite album of theirs is Hammerstrike, so I’ve decided to share the track “Disappear in a Blood-Red Sky” from this 2008 album.
Tomorrow I will be seeing them live at Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, which is going to be my first concert in several years. I can’t even remember what the last show I saw was but I’m very excited for their performance tomorrow.
